Secure Safe Apulia

Secure Safe Apulia – SSA – is a project that aims to disseminate methods, techniques and tools capable of operating a Cyber-Physical risk management, focusing on three pillars, methodology, technology, organization, and 5 areas of intervention, Critical Infrastructure, Automotive , Smartfarming, Chemical Defense and Integrated Response

Cybersecurity and Smart Farming

Under the “Secure Safe Apulia” (SSA) Program Agreement, Sysman Progetti & Servizi S.r.l. is engaged in the vertical dedicated to Cyber Security applied to Smart Farming.

Smart Farming (or Precision Agriculture), has transformed the agricultural sector through the use of advanced technologies such as IoT (Internet of Things) devices, drones and artificial intelligence (AI).

While these technologies have made farming practices more efficient, they also expose new security risks, making cybersecurity a critical component.

One of the major security risks in this industry comes from the use of IoT devices. These devices take advantage of communication protocols that rely on Internet connections, making them vulnerable to hacking and cyberattacks. Hackers can exploit vulnerabilities in IoT devices to gain unauthorized access to a network, steal data, or cause damage to devices.

Sysman P&S tasks

Sysman Projects & Services S.r.l. works to study the reference scenarios for the implementation of information security best practices for the protection of external and internal threats by acting on several fronts: from the protection of field and laboratory IoT devices to the protection of the IT systems used for implementation of good agricultural practices in terms of irrigation and fertilization and quality, on the quality of fruit and vegetables.

The project outputs will be directly inserted in the industrial contexts of the company on agricultural lines in which the company is particularly active with its product.
